Steve Jussely was born in Decatur, GA, but is a naturalized citizen of Mississippi. He grew up in Hattiesburg, and graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1970, THE University of Southern Mississippi in 1974 (BS), Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson, MS) in 1982 (MDiv) and received a D. Min. degree from RTS in 1997.
Having been born the son of a preacher-man, it seems he’s been in the ministry from the first moment of self-awareness. He has served as Director of Youth Ministries and Associate Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Hattiesburg ('80-85), Senior Pastor of Rainbow Presbyterian Church in Gadsden, AL ('85-'89), Senior Pastor of Alta Woods Presbyterian Church in Jackson ('89-'97), and Senior Pastor of Lakeland Presbyterian Church in Flowood ('97-Present).
Steve has a wife of 29 years, Carol Smith Jussely, resides in Brandon, and has been blessed with three children and two dogs.
